Spring 2022 Studio Midterm
Baltimore Center for the Spoken Word

Project 1: BALTIMORE CENTER FOR THE SPOKEN WORD
Project Objective:
The theme for this project is the investigation of the relationship between the city, the institution, and the values of our society as represented by those institutions.
Within the building itself, we explored the relationship between movement and places of assembly, including the architectural promenades, sequences of spaces, public/private, and hierarchies of circulation. We focused on accessibility, emergency egress, integration of building structure, and program organization.
